CBS Will Debut Almost All of Its Fall Shows, Including Evil, the Week of Sept. 23 – Adweek

There are a few constants among the broadcast networks each year: CBS wins the season in total viewers—as it just did for the 11th consecutive year—and is usually the first network to lock in its fall premiere dates.

After a scheduling delay last summer, the network is back out in front this year, announcing today that almost its entire fall schedule will debut the week of Sept. 23, which is the first week of the 2019-20 TV season.

The only three of its fall series that won’t premiere that week—SEAL Team, S.W.A.T. and Madam Secretary—will arrive a week later, during the week of Sept. 30.

CBS’s entire Monday lineup rolls out on Sept. 23: returning comedy The Neighborhood, followed by new sitcom Bob Hearts Abishola, freshman drama All Rise and returning drama Bull.

Tuesday, Sept. 24 will see the return of a trio of dramas: NCIS, FBI and NCIS: New Orleans.

Survivor will have a 90-minute season premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 25. A week later, on Oct. 2, dramas SEAL Team and S.W.A.T. will make their debuts.

Young Sheldon, which has inherited The Big Bang Theory’s coveted Thursday 8 p.m. time slot, returns on Sept. 26, followed by new comedy The Unicorn, returning comedy Mom, new sitcom Carol’s Second Act and freshman drama Evil.

A day later, on Sept. 27, the entire Friday lineup debuts: Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I. and Blue Bloods.

Crimetime Saturday and 48 Hours are back on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Following an NFL doubleheader on Sunday, Sept. 29, 60 Minutes has its season premiere at 7:30 p.m., followed by drama God Friended Me at 8:30 and drama NCIS: Los Angeles at 9:30. A week later, on Oct. 6, Madam Secretary will kick off its final season.
