Facebook detailed several updates to the Video Creation Kit it introduced last July to help enable brands to convert static images and text into mobile-optimized video ads.
Videos can now be optimized for different placements, such as News Feed and Stories, with a single click, which converts a single video into multiple videos with different aspect ratios. This eliminated the need for manual editing or the shooting of additional content.
More templates were added to Video Creation Kit, including single-image templates that add “visually engaging motion” to static images. Facebook added 20 more font options, as well, enabling brands to customize content and create text overlays that align with their guidelines.
Videos created with the Video Creation Kit can now be saved as drafts.
And stickers created specifically for holidays and events can be added to videos. Facebook said Easter and Mother’s Day stickers were already added to Video Creation Kit, with summer vacation and back to school to follow soon.
The social network added that seasonal templates will be introduced throughout the year for holidays and events such as Halloween, Singles Day and Dia de los Muertos.
