LinkedIn: How to Stop LinkedIn From Showing You Ads Based on Your Education

By default, LinkedIn will use the information you’ve added to your profile to show you relevant ads based on factors such as your location and the groups you’ve joined on the platform. LinkedIn may also show you ads based on the education information you’ve provided, such as the schools you attended and your degrees. If you want to stop LinkedIn from showing you ads based on your education information, our guide will show you how to turn this setting off.Note: These screenshots were captured in the LinkedIn application on iOS. Also note, even if you turn off this setting, you’ll still see ads on LinkedIn. They just won’t be personalized to you based on your education.Step 1: Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen. Step 2: Tap “Settings.” Step 3: Tap “Advertising data.” Step 4: Scroll down to the “Data collected on LinkedIn” section and tap “Education.” Step 5: You’ll see a list of the education information you’ve added to your profile, such as your field of study and the last year you graduated. Tap the checkmark to the left of any item to stop LinkedIn from showing you ads based on that information.
